The city of Rovinj is the most romantic place in Istrian peninsula. Its romantic appearance is due to a limited urban space, which has resulted in houses built tightly to each other, in narrow streets and tiny squares which are still intact by modern urbanism.     You can visit small shops, art galleries, souvenir shops and jewellery shops in Rovinj. At the city market square you can find fresh fruit and vegetable from local producers, as well as some Istrian specialties: olive oil, truffles, herbs, asparagus and local brandy. There is also a fish market, butcher’s shop and bakery there, having fresh goods daily.


    Rovinj has plenty of beaches to suit every taste. The nearest beach to Spirito Santo Palazzo Storico is Monte beach, located at the foot of St Euphemia church, only 7 minutes walk from the hotel. It is a rocky city beach, the favourite spot for the local population. (more…)



    Discover the beauty of the archipelago of Rovinj by boat! There are also night boat trips with seabed sightseeing.

    Lim Fjord: is a protected area of specific flora and fauna, known as breeding site for shellfish (oysters and mussels). Once a real Viking settlement was built here as a scenery for the film The Long Ships with Richard Widmark in the main role. The channel is 9 km long.

    Brijuni: The islands of Brijuni have been populated from Roman times. The beginning of Istrian tourism is connected to these beautiful islands, thanks to the initiative of baron Von Kupelwieser. Every summer, theatre group ULYSSES presents their outdoor theatre performances in the unique setting of the islands.
